Steering wheel Bluetooth controls work with Google voice?

Hi

I've found a few posts stating that Siri on iPhone works with holding the green Bluetooth button on the steering wheel for a couple of seconds, does anyone know if that also works with the equivalent on android?

Also, when activtated does it use the microphone in the car or on the phone for Siri?

In anticipation of my FL2 arriving tomorrow ( woohoooo) I'm trying to figure out an optimal music solution. It's a 2011 XS so has Bluetooth for calls etc. but not music. I'm keen to use voice control if possible, for obvious safety reasons.

I've looked at the griffin and belkin bluetooth dongle things, as well as parrott. But I'd rather leverage existing capabilities in the car and on my phone than add more tech (complexity...) inbetween although I'm not closed to that if its the best route.

Thanks in anticipation! FL2 2011 SD4 XS in Galway Green

My Samsung Galaxy SII works with the steering controls, not sure which mike it uses as I don't use the feature, the whole phone is a piece of garbage but to answer your question yes it will work.

You should be able to use bluetooth for voice control and the aux socket for audio, I believe. (Not sure as I have an iPhone and really only use the voice control for dialling.) The car's own mic would appear to be used, as voice dialling works well even if the phone is in a bag or on the back seat.
