2010 LR2 - How do I remove rear rotors

I've done dozens of brake jobs but this is my first on a land rover. How do I get the rear rotors off. I removed the caliper, mounting bracket and rotor screw but the rotor will not come off.

Also what is the black rubber plug on the rotor for?

Found pics that show that the black plug is for the hand brake shoe adjustment. Do I have to loosen the hand brake/park brake shoes to get the rotors off?

I recall I needed a T45 torx bit to remove the screw holding the disc in place Thumbs Up

Great, I had it to that point. Didn't think brute force was the solution.

Make sure the handbrake shoes are backed off all the way before trying to remove the disk (Nice to hear from someone in Halifax NS. I lived in Lower Sackville for three years).

I was wondering if I had to do that. How do you know how much to tighten them when you are putting them back on?

There will be a topix on it , but a rule of thumb, is to adjust up till the disc/rotorwont turn then back off till the disc turns freely, do both sides then check handbrake for travel, if too much travel adjust up a tad more,

Then take up slack in cable till yer happy.

Back at it today and still can't get the rotor off.
Located the park brake adjuster, but haven't had luck yet.
This is no way to spend my birthday!
father is coming over to give me a hand. Apparently his Ford Explorer has a similar set up.

I used a metal bar between the disk (rotor) and the caliper mounting points to give a bit of leverage while pulling on the opposite side. They can be difficult to remove.

It may not be the case but, there may be some threaded holes on the disc that appear to go nowhere these allow you to effectively jack the disc off .

Finally got it yesterday. Drivers side park brake adjuster was stuck. After some lube and a good beating it came off. Total time 5 hours or so. I had it apart twice.

Passenger side the adjuster was fine. Total time 30 minutes.

Thanks for the help and advice. Made the job possible.
