The DVLA licence people to drive not the insurance company and there are ways for them to check whether or not you are lying about motoring convictions without needing to see your licence. Never come across that with any policy.

A lady I work with had to email a copy of her license when she changed insurance companies recently. I think it's just a way for the insurance companies to know if you have a license or not. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

That's right ad210358. Where I work those of us who drive on company business (not just company car drivers, those who drive their own cars as well) have to submit a photo copy and a declaration every year. gone MY2010 GS TD4 Manual Stornoway

My company asks for a copy of my licence annually to check if youve had any convictions youve not told them about, once the have my copy they then check with the DVLC to make sure their records read the same.

we have to sign a mandate for our employer to use the RAC to check with DVLA on a regular basis the status of our licenses .The frequency depends on how near an individual is to a ban, so you are checked between 1 and 4 times a year, in principle I hate this type of system, but 15 years ago had an electrician working for me who it turned out had driven for 18 months of a 2 year ban using just the scam you hi-lite above ,so i accept I'm paying the price for the dishonest minority 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership 2016 Subaru Outback SE 2.0 diesel SE Premium Lineartronic Sold 2024 after 8 years and 80k miles . Ask what term in their policies dictate that they can ask for it before insuring you. It's almost bound to be an ambiguous term so just tell them they can't rely on such a term as per the doctrine of Contra proferentem LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
