French Roads!!

Had a nice trip to Paris last week and was impressed fully loaded returned 35mpg at French speeds. However the french roads were awful. Not so much potholes but craters and this was on the toll roads. Made ours look pretty good. Only downside was a drone noise from the rears at 68mph (when raining). Cleared up on return to the uk so must have been the road surface!

Only saw a few freelanders and all had english plates!

A couple of years ago they were fine. Wonder if it is related to the EU recession

France 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Narvik Black

The roads where I am going in France (South West) are really good, but then the weather is good. Here in the South West of England the roads have taken a battering from snow, rain & ice and are in a poor state. The Local Authority just doesn't have the money to fix them. John

I've always thought the Roads in France were better.
There were a few around Chamonix that needed attention.
Austrian, German roads were decent as well. 110 Station Wagon
