2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey
Engine Flush

Booking car in for service soon,do LR use engine flush or should i put some in day before and run it around a bit before dropping it off ?

as far as I know they don't normally use engine flush on a service.

I suppose it wouldn't do any harm to put some in as you say, but I'm sure some experts will come along soon to advise you.

Stratstones always have Engine Flush on the invoices that they have given me, no way I suppose of telling that they have actually flushed it but as I said, it's on the invoice.

My car is serviced at Herford LandRover and they use Scott's Purge for oil and fuel.
The Scott's website says that it ensures that the injectors etc are kept clean and the new oil keeps cleaner longer because there is no crud from the old oil.
I think it makes sense though £27 for oil and petrol purge does hurt a little Ralph
