I cant believe bow bad the dealers are at the moment.

I am ready to buy a new GS. Have acceptable quotes from 3 dealers, need to haggle a bit on a px but ready to hand over the keys this weekend and sign an order. I have pretty much stated this to 2 of the dealers. Yet they dont return calls, dont answer emails etc. Seriously unbelievable. That is not including the dealers who never got back to me at all.

Contrast that with a Car I bought online from skyfleet.com (delivered yesterday). They worked day, night and weekend to get me a good deal on a car. Returned calls, answered emails, were never pushy, got me a great deal and then sent flowers and chocolates for my wife to say thanks for doing business with them when they delivered the car.

I guess that the dealers you are speaking to are worried that they may not be able to supply you with a new vehicle before month end which is when the quarter offers expire.

They are probably hoping that you hang fire until next month when they will have 3 months to find and prepare a car for you.

maybe they think your car has done too many miles and they don't want to offer you a silly price in case you take offence

I guess it will be like that with most brands. Luckily I can't fault TC Harrison at Derby when purchasing the Fiesta. When returning eventually to a Land Rover, it will be interesting to keep an eye on dealer reports on here  LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
