new Rav 4 Icon

had a look at the new Rav 4 in local Toyota showroom today.

must say loads of sensible improvements on old model, tailgate opening upwards, new dash, etc, etc

should be a good seller, and with the Toyota 5 year warranty, reliability, good package !!

United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Santorini Black

I looked a couple of weeks ago and it was impressive with good spec levels and it has increased in size from its earliest incarnation. I did not buy the Toyota a couple of years ago because of the silly rear door so now it has a lift up tailgate think more could be attracted and like you say standard 5 year warranty is a big bonus.
The one I looked at was around £26k and it was well loaded, the tailgate is motorised up and down too!

yes Ben, we thought it was a good bit bigger than the old model.

the one in the showroom was 28K and was the Icon edition with some kind of styling pack fitted.

my wife has a Toyota IQ and it really is a great wee car.

also the dealer is very good which is a bonus !!

Each to their own but I think the new Rav4 looks vile and hasnt favoured well amongst the motoring press.

Power tailgates may sound good but in truth are poor - very slow to open and close! I know a couple of people (one an Evoque owner) who both wish they had never had a powered tailgate.

Last weekend I nosied around the dealers, out of curiosity I had a look at the new Kuga because the press said it was now bigger but quickly dismissed that, as for the Rav I drove up to the dealers and the look of it through the showroom window interested me so much that I never got out, but drove off again.
