Translating Solicitor Speak

Picked up the copy of my grandads will today, why can't solicitors write things in english, the way they go on and on is incredible

I think I might need to hire one just to decipher the bloody thing Evil or Very Mad Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Probably cos you may per individual letter...let alone words.

Unless you've a complicated Trust fund to set up or a very complicated will avoid using a solicitor - they're in it for the money...yours!

There will be a trust fund to set up for when they become 18, luckily my mother worked for a solicitor for 25 years, apart from that everything else is looking straight forward at the moment Confused Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Think positive! At least he left a will ( far too many dont)

As the subject of wills has been brought up and not wishing to cause grief, if when making your will there are any members of your faimily you wish to exclude ( it happens more often than not), I've just learnt it is best NOT to excluce them, which leaves your will open to be contested by them, but to leave them a paltry sum, that way they cant contest anything! We're here to help each other! Kola is the big solid black German Shepherd, Dobbie is.......a breed you've never heard of......yet;)

Well I might not be a solicitor yet but what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over the 4 years of my law degree, skills that make me able to understand such speak Thumbs Up LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Just what they want Nick. I'm afraid it's a sad way to make money one way or another.
I did my my Mums probate, quite easy, cost 90 odd quid and took me an hour. Got a quote from a solicitor and it was silly Premiership football money Big Cry

Robbing git. Mind you, he needs to pay for his new Mercs Evil or Very Mad
