I see fords new SUV, the Kuga is getting ready for its release and getting some very good reviews, obviously after selling off Landrover they will be after poaching some customers and looking at the specs it doesn’t look too bad .Its based on the Focus floor pan so I assume its about the same size as the FL2?

The recent sale of LR to Tata guarentees that my current FL2 will the first and last LR I own; the car list from which I choose comprises Ford Group products only. So I'm following the progress of the Kuga with interest, as it will offer a chance to stay with a compact SUV (OK there will also be the Volvo XC60, but I expect that to be over priced)

In the flesh they are a smart looking motor (IMO)...but not in the FL2 class...it is more biased towards the Rav4, and the new VW softroader '57 FL2 GS

Avtur- If Kuga is based on the Focus Floorpan as stated in previous posts then it is smaller than Freelander which shares commonality with the next size up Volvos and Fords ie SMax and Mondeo. The way the wind blows in the US expect Volvo and Mazda to drop of your availability list. still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit |
