There was a similar case a few years back were 3 police officers got off speeding tickets as the signs did not have a black border around them. You could clearly see what the limit was. Unfortunately the Law is usually done to the letter, so common sense doesn't prevail.

if the font isn't correct I don't bother even to read the signs or warnings, after all rules are rules
