Think you will struggle to get any contribution.

Apart from a £70 misdiagnosis from a main dealer , that was after an hour with the computer to tell me my hdc fault was a faulty canbus and required approx 4hrs to investigate further. Took it to an Indie and in 15min diagnosed diff pump failure.

The person you spoke to at LR Customer Care is having a laugh. There is no way they are unaware of this problem with the clutch and DMF - just check out this forum. I suggest you have another go at calling them, you are very unlikely to talk to the same individual.

I agree that the Customer Care rep is having a laugh My 07 SE has had two clutch failures, the first at 27k which was repaired under warranty, the 2nd at 57k and 5 years which I discussed with LR Cust care and ended up with a 50% contribution, about £500 towards clutch flywheel and slave cyl replacement. Did notice more pedal pressure on the new unit so they may have done some mods to the cover.

Thanks all. Tried LR again and they told me that all claims needed to be routed via a dealer so i found a local dealer that had experience of FL2 clutch issues and will see what they can do. Worst case they will be £300 more expensive than the cheapest indie quote but they are confident LR will play ball plus I get some extra piece of mind knowing that the work is totally underwritten if the replacement subsequently fails (and a loan car).

No solid flywheel to my knowledge, anyone know of it? Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice. |
