Thank you all for the response!

The "gunmetal" rim is actually just one week's brake-dust. It is exactly the same colour as the handles presently.

For comparison I cleaned the rear wheel and taped the handle with white tape...

Dan has PM re door handle covers.... Mr. Green 2012 SD4 S
