For what the cost difference is you might as well buy a generator to power it as other things can be plugged in. Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own!

Unless you are able to get a very cheap generator with a large enough VA output then a new one will set you back several hundred pounds. Another option would be to hire a gennie but this too will be dead money lost

It's only to do some cementing in the garage and to put down a barrier against water running in across the front Shocked

I think I might head down the hire route if they do one in the correct size Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Base of street lights?!? Don't thinks so!

Years ago in lancashire, the old sodium concrete street lamps were converted, the top section was cut off and replaced with a modern discharge unit. The base was fitted with a 110v Transformer with a 13A plug on it, obviously easiest and cheapest way for the council to perform the upgrade.
There are a few left around the county, most have since been replaced with steel poles and new electrics.

So you see, you learn something every day Thumbs Up
