Been thinking about this for ages.............. Question Question who makes the engine
fitted in the FL2??

Ah, well,
PS is the Kraut (sorry German) for Horse Strength. Very similar to our own Horse Power. They are very simlar values and for the purposes of vehicle power output, you could treat them both as one of the same.
Kw is the rather silly EU value.

Therefore, the value of HP and PS can be seen on the packaging of Tesco burgers Laughing Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

The BMW Plant was the old 2.0 that was in the last of the original Freelander TD4 iirc

Horsepower

The use of PS is to do with Din standards. As said, the values are very similar, but if you want to know exactly, take the PS figure, and divide by 1.014 for BHP. Another figure used by some of our continental cousins, France and Spain mainly, i think, is CV. This is known by some in the trade as Horse sweat! Cheval Vapoure, is a similar value to PS, (Pferdestarke).
