FL2 and IPhone 5

Does the I Phone 5 work OK with the Freelander Bluetooth?
Got a chance to upgrade soon and the "4" works so well (os 5.1) I would rather not upgrade if its going to mess that up.

Hi guys
Just got myself an Iphone 5, dragging myself into the 21st century filled with smart phones for the 1st time. I note from the posts about blue tooth streaming of music to car radio. How do you do this? Is it just for my 2013 freelanders? mines a 2010. I was looking at a Brodit mount with cables to radio, but a blue tooth link would reduce the need to connect to radio just power for charging needed. 1998 Feelander XDI Hardback - Gone

My iPhone 5 works fine with the phone side of things in my FL2 ( a 60 plate ) ... but no bluetooth streaming that I've come access yet.

I'm currently driving an evoque with the meridian hifi in it. Bluetooth streaming comes as one of the options under the my-music section. Its OK quality, but not brill imho.

Not overly impressed by the Meridian unit to be honest. Its either a funny hear everything out of every speaker affair with very little stereo effect or a surround-sound setting where the voice seems to only come from the centre dash speaker ( like you would have in a movie surround speaker setup) and the instruments sounding as if they are in the distance from the surround speakers.

Prefer the freelander sound setup to be honest !

I've got the MY2013 Black Edition which is basically a spec'd up 'S', I've got the small screen stereo but the Bluetooth phone kit.

It plays perfect quality audio after pairing the phone, also uses the Bluetooth audio/car stereo to give me sat nav audio directions when using the iPhone 5. I can also use Siri via the car.

No Problems here but Siri struggles with background noise on the move so I tend to give it a miss. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
