United Kingdom 2015 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Santorini Black

The official Landrover spoiler shouldn't be classed as a mod especially if fitted by an LR dealer. With Landrover insurance you can add loads of LR stuff & they don't charge any extra - well that's what they told me. I have had factory or dealer options on nearly every new car I have ever bought & never once been charged extra. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.
(Past) RR Evoque Dynamic Lux Si4 In Firenze Red.
(Past) RR Evouque Pure Tech in Barollo Black with bespoke Firenze Red colour coding.
(Present) Freelander Metropolis 2015 MY In Santorini Black with Ivory Premium Leather.

I think the spoiler was standard on the HSE from MY09 or maybe MY10 but has become an option again for MY13, can't understand why though, just doesn't look right without.

See my direct line thread..... even the official part is classed as a mod which is why I brought it up as side steps where mentioned..... silly I know.

Any way... back on topic..... "this thread is usless with out pictures" Smile

It was not standard on the HSE in 2007, it would have been an optional extra, or the left over of the HST body kit. It is only standard now on the HSE lux which has only just come out in MY13 Thumbs Up

And I didn't!!!! Up at 5, double and triple counting my money out (well, the balance anyway - paid the majority by bank transfer yesterday afternoon). It's been like Christmas Eve for me, I just couldn't settle last night! Then again, I am only 55 1/4 years old. Rolling Eyes Laughing Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

The paint code plate is at the base of the door pillar on the passenger side on a RHD, there is a plate also attached to the drivers side but think that may be tyre pressures for different size wheels.

Bl&ck paint, ebony interior, privacy glass.......bit grim Laughing

Enjoy it, you'll get plenty of stick about the non colour but just enjoy it Thumbs Up

Our new addition is the same - HSE in Santorini (the sparkly one) with ebony interior, factory privacy and black door handles - its not a bit grim Arrow . It also has side steps and chrome Exclamation mirror caps. My wife drives the car and loves it. Others seem to like it a lot and comment positively but my daughter calls it the Gangster Truck Mr. Green

Me......I'm just glad the missus is happy with it Bow down

My wife loves ours too! I thought it might take her some time to get round to accepting it as she cried her bloody eyes out when our Golf that we had owned from new was driven away on Thursday night! I had decided that I was only going to get either a Stornoway grey or a black one. The black one came along first so I went with it but I think I'll hold off on any chrome bits for the moment in case I end up with the Gangsta truck! Laughing I would have preferred a grey one but now, luckily, SWMBO tells me she never liked the grey! I run a motor mechanics training centre so it'll be in the workshop next week and apart from a full service and wheel balancing all round (very slight vibration at speed), It's getting a rear spoiler, clear side indicators, mudflaps, rubber mats and bootliner to start with. Oh, and a dog guard. We are currently arguing over side-steps. I want 'em but she doesn't. Thats's one battle I'm going to win! Whistle

Just been out for a night time drive and I love it even more. I've never had a motor with so many luxury bits on it - I've had all those goodies on various cars over the years but never at the same time. Glad I held out for the HSE. Thumbs Up Very Happy Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

I'll post some when I take some but it's really no different from any of the hundreds of other black HSE's with privacy glass. Sheep Sheep Sheep Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
