Tow Bar Electrical Problem - help needed

The LR (Brink) tow bar and electrical plug was fitted by the dealer from new, but I don't have any electrical connection to a trailer or my bike rack lights when connected up Rolling Eyes

The plug on the car is the 13-pin type but I have to use a extra plug in this that converts to a 7-pin to suite the trailer/bike carrier electrics.

The trailer power fuses (FA9 & FA11) have been fitted where they should be, and I cant find any other reason for lack of power to the trailer/bike carrier electrics Sad

Anybody any ideas Idea what the problem may be, before I have to contact the dealer again Question 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

It probably needs a system reboot You could try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting it. Mine needed this doing after the dealer fitted the towing electrics, but after doinf it you need to reset the automatic window function. Thumbs Up

I was told when doing a battery hard reset

Remove both the Pos and Neg leads from the battery and hold these together for 20 secs Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Don't forget that when you have your bikes on the back the reversing sensors don't work Shocked Shocked
