Carpet or rubber mats?

Hi all,

What mats are better, rubber or carpet ones? My FL2 didn't even come with any! Evil or Very Mad They are some of the things I am buying for the car along with mudflaps and the piano black trim handles.

Also where would I get the piano black door handles?

Many thanks,
Chris Thumbs Up

Depends how dirty your wellies get!!
Rubber mats for me, they don't soak up water and are a doddle to clean Thumbs Up Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

They both have their merits.
The rubber ones are really easy to clean, but mark easily and look dirty in no time.
The carpet ones dont get as dirty so quickly, but are a nightmare to clean.

I have both, but prefer the rubber ones.

Mine came with the rubber Land Rover mats and they are excellent.

I had mats at first, OK in dry weather but a pain any other time. I now use LR rubbers all year round and by using 'shoe polish' on them they seem to repel the marks better.

Rubber.
Consider getting Britpart ones:
1) Cheaper
2) Drivers one has foot rest area included
3) Rear is a one piece that covers centre tunnel
4) Have lips all round

Genuine are more expensive with ,less well thought out features

Another vote for rubber. In the snows I was regularly getting puddles in my rubber mats, which I could just empty out the door. With carpet mats that water would have soaked in/through.

I ordered some cheap rubber ones last night and they arrived this morning. They are fine except they slide around in the footwell! Evil or Very Mad I will just use them for winter and get some LR carpet mats from Duckworths.

Thanks Thumbs Up
