Farecla G3 Paint Products // Cleaning/Detailing

Hi all, I appreciate this may seem anal/OCD for some but useful info for the rest!

Unfortunately I have already got light scratches front to back on the near side of the FL2 from a branch or some inconsiderate numpty on a car park along with minor swirls and snow clearing related scuffs! This combined with it being a new vehicle I have re-kindled my amateur detailing habit and sought advice over on detailing world.

The product that comes out on top for scratch removal, ease, availability and cost etc is the Farecla G3 scratch remover liquid. The videos and reviews are amazing and will get rid of those cheeky branch tickles and the like. The G3 range is designed as a system with stages and can provide protection from the usual crap for upto 6 months when using the paste wax.

Combined with products such as Valet Pro citrus pre wash and Autosmart tardis the results should be very nice. I have also bought some Valet Pro banana carnauba cream and silicone spray seal for the wheels.

Any other keen cleaners on here? The above are by no means the only products around nor am I an expert, but research, reading and hopefully results will show! I'm still learning and trying to keep things nice! Will hopefully stop the proverbial from sticking!!

I'm by no means an expert, but started using AG 20 years ago, and haven't looked back since. My collection now comprises just about everything that they make, and whilst I'm sure there are better/more expensive products out there, for an amateur like me, the suite that they offer more than covers my needs.

I once asked a professional detailer about Wax, and his response was SwissVax if they can afford it, HD Wax if they can't. Said it all for me.... Very Happy Foraging near Gaydon....

Fully agree with the AG stuff, especially the wheel cleaner and super resin. I was just looking for a scratch remover and stumbled across the G3 range, then tripped over the tar remover and pre wash treatment! I need to watch where I'm going! 2013 FL2 - Black Edition Auto

Not used the G3 stuff but heard good reviews

Myself I prefer the Meguiers DA Microfibre system, I had used foam pads and a range of polishes, but the MF system was so much easier, and that was just with the cutting compound, didn't need to go down the finishing route

Tardis is a great product, need to get some more though as I've run out Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

After spending many years in the bodyshops Farecla products are simply the ones to use in the trade,I can honestly i cant rember working in a bodyshop/paintshop that uses any other.
I left the trade 3/4 year ago but will still onlt use Farecla compounds. One tip i will say is have a hand water spayer at hand,Soon as the G3 starts to dry out on the cloth give it a spray of water till it rubs dry again.
Once your done give the panel a good wax.

Only problem is that I've got to wait until my next rest days to have a play!

No problem,As i recall the G side of it is the grade of the compound.Im sure they go from G1 upto G6,G1 been like a super fine.
Just be carefull if you have any deep scraches. It is poss to rub thru the paint/lacquer if you rub too hard for too long but wouldnt of thought you will have that problem by hand.
Let us all know how you find the product Thumbs Up

Yeh I've got a few areas to use the scratch remover by hand with the water spray. Paint renovator on lighter areas of swirling or where I've brushed snow off and it's been slightly gritty. The Detox removes all traces of wax etc from the vehicle to allow the resin superwax to do its stuff!

Can't fault the 'system' really. Well thought out and reasonable on the wallet.

I will do, il get some pics too. 2013 FL2 - Black Edition Auto
