That looks fantastic. I've always fancied doing that at short notice. More so when I (eventually) get a FL2. How easy is it to arrange at short notice - I mean accommodation, ski hire, lift passes etc? Where's the best places to go for beginners? Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Really easy, ski hire and passes are done on the day when you want to ski, although by booking the day before you can beat some queues. Accommodation depends what you're after, we found a self catering lodge in fort William which was ideal, but going into fort William there are endless b&b's. I've always booked , usually the day before we go but I'm confident you could easily just turn up and find somewhere.

Nightbreakers don't help, neither do Xenons, the deer are too sneaky |

I'm usually 13 but with ski socks I needed bigger, and about-one has 14 ![]() The deer are pretty clever, if clever was based on how many cars you can aim for travelling at around 70 mph! True, little snow compared to 2 years ago when I last came in the winter. I was actually slightly worried on the way up, as we came through the night we couldn't see what was on the mountains. And the side of the road on the a82 the entire length was completely bare! Didn't take a picture but the car was the dirtiest I've ever had one by the time we got home!
