I will finish my law degree in May and have had my latest results today.

EU Law C+ overall (B- in coursework and C+ in exam) --- hate the subject!

Medical Law A overall (A for portfolio and A for class discussion which was 10% weighting)

EU was level 5 and med law is level 6. The difference being that level 6 has the added demand of requiring students to critically analyse the questions. Level 5 subjects only count to 20% of final classification but level 6 is 80% so they are the key. Did well in my first year level 4 but they don't count towards classification. My 5 & 6 grades are as follows:

Level 5

EU Law - C+
Property Law 1 - B
Property Law 2 - C+
Criminal Law 1 - C+
Criminal Law 2 - B-
Human Rights - B+
Skills - A-

Level 6

Evidence & Procedure - B
Evidence - B
Equity & Trusts - B+
Medical Law - A
Commercial & Consumer Law - Exam due in May (assessed 70% exam 30% arbitration scenario)
EU Trade Law - Exam due in May (assessed 90% exam 10% presentation)

On course for a very good 2:1. Start LPC in September which is a 2 year part time course that trains post graduates to become a solicitor.

Glad to hear that those long hours and headaches were all worth it, you're nearly at the end of the tunnel where that hard work can be transposed into a good position and a nice income hopefully.

I did a 5 year apprenticeship plus an extra 3 years to gain HNC and HND, at the time I was on sh ty wages and nearly gave up but it eventually came right.

Might need to change your name to the lawyer

The only thing that bugs me is why the Government has chosen to meddle with the grading system. What's wrong with A, B, C etc? Now we get a percentage and I got 74 for medical law which after speaking to a lecturer, worked out at an A in 'old money'

Just as a further update chaps, it will be one month tomorrow until the final day of the entire 4 years, all exams done.

On Monday night just gone I got an A- for my arbitration assessment in consumer law at 30% weighting. 70% is the 2 hour exam on the 7th of May.

Lurking in the shadows however is the pure evil 3 hour exam on EU Trade Law. Friday the 10th of May, it will be like 'the boss' at the end of a video game Dreading it but just one last battle and I shall know by the 24th of June what my classification is.

Me and my fellow students are organising a private venue in Derby with some lecturers invited on the 6th of July. Providing I haven't failed EU trade law it will be a party to remember! Magnum of Bollinger on ice please and a pint of Guiness too
