Loch Lomond Landy, that dealer needs to be publicly castigated for making such a crass, ill-informed statement. That type of comment does decent, honest Dealers no favours at all! Foraging near Gaydon....

That's one ill informed dealer. Addition of spare wheel has no effect on euro approved CO2 result for the car. |

I purchased my FL2 when it was 9 months old last December. Asked the dealer to supply me with a spare wheel. They gave me a quote of 」299 for the rim, 」160 for the tyre + vat. I was also quoted 」850 to have a tow bar supply and fit. Needless to say I made other arrangements. |

I think that's a porkie. The weight class for manufacturer's fuel consumption and emissions test is with a standard vehicle, half a tank of fuel and an everage driver (75kg, I recall). Making the spare and tools as options means that the weight for the type-approval test is the minimum it can be in the showroom.
