Co-driver required for Landy Rally 2008

Spreading the word as I know of a guy who needs a co-driver for Landy Rally 13-19 September 2008. Raising funds for Children with Cerebral Palsy, he’s looking to utilise his 90 truckcab unless you of course have something more suitable to take on the 2,500 mile charity run. Wink

The chap in question is based in Aldershot, Hampshire, although obviously you don’t have to live in the same locality or even the same region come to that; it just helps a wee bit logistically. Team entry, ferry and fuel costs will simply be halved between driver and co-driver, as will the driving and navigation. No navigational experience is necessary whatsoever in the non-speed event as the route will be tackled via a simple road book and maps, therefore is a piece of cake to execute!

Talking of the route, it has just been announced that Landy Rally 2008 will now be 10 countries in 7 days (as opposed to 8 in 7 last year) as via Austria the event is now taking in the Alpine tax-free haven of Liechtenstein. This now means cheap fuel in two countries en route, the other being Andorra.

I digress, if interested his posts can be found on the Landy Rally forum at http://landyrally.coolbb.net/teams-and-crews-f3 within the “Teams and Crews” category, the topic is “No name” (as he hadn’t thought of a team name anyway) and his username is “Muddymachine”. Find this and you can PM him or simply email the organisers via the event website at www.landyrally.com
