Spare wheel

Just had a thought, I have 17 inch 6 spoke alloy wheels with a 235/65 good year wrangler tyres, might be a silly question but if anyone here can answer it for me without me taking one of my wheels off and seeing if it fits in the potty in the back, I take it this will fit a full size spare wheel? Im looking around for a spare and just assumed a full size one would fit, hate to buy it and find it didnt.

Cheers
Thumbs Up

It will fit no problem, many of us including myself have a full size spare and jack under the boot floor cover. Thumbs Up

It took my full size 17" and now takes my full size 18" and is a LR option.

As above, the well takes a full size wheel. It was a £185 option when I bought the car. Seemed like a no brainer. 2013 RR Evoque Pure Tech

Yes still plenty of room in the boot for a spare despite a lot of the space now being taken up by the OEM bass unit. Jules

I bought a spare 17 wheel and tyre on eBay.

I also got a jack and the screw that holds the wheel firm in the potty well. All fit nicely in the back.

Which site sponsor would be best to speak to about getting my pot of magic goo swapped for a full size steel spare and all the relevant extras?

When you think about it £185 for alloy wheel and tyre as an option when buying the car from Land Rover new is pretty good value. The tyre alone being worth about £150.

Its always a lot cheaper to buy items when the car is ordered new as factory fitted.
If you tried to build a FL2 afterwards it would probably cost you 200 grand as they make their money on the spares, we used to add a 700% mark up on spares prices in my industry!

I was told by the dealer that the downside to ordering a wheel fitted from new meant that it pushed it into the next road tax band?! To do with the addition weight pushing it over 165 gramme per whatever it is.
