Retractable cargo net

Anyone know if it's possible to fit the retracable cargo net as an accessory ? Do I have to replace the whole retracable luggage cover or can I just fit the roll net as an addition to the existing cover ?
Cheers

There is a net which you can get that pulls upwards and somehow hooks up on the inside of the car so that if you are carrying stuff in the back it doesn't fly forward when you brake and smack you in the back of the head Shocked I saw one on an FL2 in the showroom when I was looking around initially but I'm not sure quite how it fits onto the back seats. the cover you pull toward the back of the car just covers the luggage area horizontally. this goes up vertically and retracts when not in use.
I asked my dealer for this option when I ordered the car.... they forgot it .... since then I asked them 3 times for it and in true Belgian customer service standards they just ignore me so stuff em....I'll try and get one elsewhere if I can.

I would like to look into this as sometimes i load the boot up to the level of the seats, but could do with going a little higher sometimes, but don't as i often have my son in his seat in the rear

Something like this ?

It's called Dog Guard but can be used to expand the cargo storage.
The normal cargo net can be hooked in several places but I do not think can be set higher than the rear seats.
When I got my cargo net I also received two long wide heavy duty strips that can be used to secure higher luggage. FREELANDER 2 TD4 SE (XS UK) IZMIR BLUE SIDE STEPS COLD PACK BI-XENON TINTED WINDOWS - AND PROUD OF HER

BMW's netting is incorporated in the cargo cover and can be pulled up for use anytime - do miss that function whenever I am transporting loads in the boot. Big Cry 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Just a thought......... you don't need to pay LR's daft luggage net prices, as you could get a net from a car spares shop or even another car maker. Various sizes are around and you can add securing clips (from DIY stores) at whatever positions you want to. Mine is years old and suits my purposes perfectly. You can add to the versatility with bungee cords, or even a second net if/when need arises, as the clips I use would just as easily join two or more nets. See gallery.

While in the luggage space, I've fitted a a robust rubber load space liner (cost £10 from Costco?) that fits perfectly for width and depth of boot, doesn't impede the net securing loops, and doesn't obscure the cubby at either side of boot. See gallery.

To achieve this with LR parts would cost £100+ Was GS TD4 Auto, Privacy, Santorini with Tundra & Alpaca, Cold Climate Pack. Traded for Discovery Sport HSE Auto.

Is this a better solution. It fits on to the rear headrests so should be a bit quicker than the LR product. I think they are around £35. Try a google search for best price.
