Did the engine also starts the heater automatically? Because if the heater is independant of car's systems and you start it manually anytime you want, then cannot be stored any errors... |

No, Alex, the heater is switched on by using / programming the remote control only. Of course, both the engine and heater can be run simultaneously, if needed. In this case, it functions as an auxiliary heater. Till now, there are no visible interferences or errors. When I recently visited a LR service station because of massive DPF problems and for sure they must have checked the engine data recorder, nothing suspicious with regard to functioning of the heater was reported to me. |

Then the heater can't generate any errors on the car's systems as long as they (the heater and the car) are not interconnected electronically. |

Alex did you get this sorted out?, I just discovered that I have the OEM webasto on my motor... Its a bit late now this year of course, but it would be fun to see how much it would cost to get the webasto on remote start before the engine is running. (Saving for a wedding and summer cabin at the moment) |

With it, who, throwing error codes? The webasto device? If yes, it behaves and throws errors if there is a problem with it.

ooh nice, so its just a case of driving to dealer to reprogram, connect up and press the lights button to get it running!. Did you manage to find a way to get the cabin fan to run as well or is it just engine preheat you have? |

Just the webasto... I was interested in heating up the engine for an easy start as the cabin will be quickly warmed up by the HVAC after the engine start. |
