Ireland 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Zermatt Silver
Freelander 2007 HSE

Hi all,

I'm due to pick my 2007 Freelander 2 HSE today or tomorrow. Cant wait. It took a while to find a HSE spec here in Ireland with low miles

Before I hand over my hard earned cash is there anything in specific should be asking the dealer

It has a full Land Rover Service History and 54K miles, one owner

The Freelander looks spotless -- I would like a few pointers before pickit it up
Any know faults or gremlins I should be aware of

Thanks
Tadhg

United Kingdom

some things of note on the earlier ones.

rear high level brake light its know to leak water
base of the drivers seat facing door is known to crack.
you often get seatbelt wear on the A pillers
check the headlight retaining mounts, they are made of black plastic and are known to crack during bulb replacement
look underneath for any signs of off road damage - take a torch !
check all electrics carefully - inc heated screen

see if you can get later NAV discs for free from dealer.

thats all I can remember for now.

enjoy.

Good luck with the purchase and welcome to the Forum. If you can't get discs for the satnav as a freebie then go to eBay for them - far cheaper than dealer price! Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto
Tricia's - 2006 Royal Blue Beetle Cabriolet Auto
Mine - 2014 Vespa GTS 300 Super Sport Matt Black
Ours - 2007 White Bailey Pageant Champagne
