Reduced Engine Performance - arrgh

Can anyone help or offer advice ? I have now had two episodes of my FL2 losing power on the motorway and "Reduced Enginer Performance" coming up on the display. Both times I had been travelling at soome speed for prolonged times. When this happens you cannot accelerate quickly, or go over about 50mph which is very dangerous on a motorway and both times had to limp home hoping not to be hit up the back by a lorry. The last diagnosis was that the "Roll horizon had to be re-calibrated" and this time it was "Turbo inductor issue", one costing £50 and the other £120 to put right. Questions :-

1: Should I get rid of the car, I really dont want to . Its a 57 reg but still going strong apart from this issue ?
2: Can other non-land rover garages diagnose issues or reset the computer ?
3: Is there anything that i can do to stop this happening again ? Land Rover have stated that these things happen as there are so many reasons that the Reduced Engine Performance limiter might switch in.

As far as I am concerned, its a way of Land Rover generating money and a downright pain when it happens.

Search "reduced engine performance" on here there are loads of threads on the subject and unfortunately loads of symptoms, some dealers are able to read error codes which you can post or search on here for possible solutions, there are members on here that can tell you what the codes relate too.

Persevere as it is a great car and hope you get it sorted.
