That's how long mine has been in the garage having new gearbox and oil-cooler fitted.
Prior to that it had new output shaft seals and both front wheel bearings replaced.
Prior to my ownership at some 4 months young it had already had a new gearbox fitted.

Total miles now covered 6,900. 18 months old

To be fair the garage have rung everyday with a progress report, which involved various testing to Landrover requirements as they were very reluctant to accept another gearbox was required, even though metal fragments were clearly visible in the oil drained from box. After Landrover insisted in trying a new transfer box out, taken from a demo vehicle they agreed to replacement, but was then delayed as none in stock

New gearbox oil cooler has been fitted too, which may of been the cause of the second failure, as it was not replace the first time round if it had been contaminated with metal fragments from the first failure.

In 15 years of Landrover ownership this has been my worst car by far

Hopefully things have now been sorted, feel a little on edge still, but time will tell.

On the upside, coming back from the garage saw low 40's on the mpg readout, which has been pretty accurate to date (plus1-1.5 mpg out against real use), have never seen anything higher than 34mpg before

On the downside garage has forgotten to put the locking wheel nut back in the car

I had a similar problem with a new car a couple back..... over three months and Vauxhalls red team it took for it to be sorted.

I wont list what happened ( search my id you'll find it on a Vauxhall forum ) but the long and short of it after so many issues was that it was software so I feel you pain.

I never trusted it after that and had to change....

Tongue in cheek humour but Wiltshire seems to be a hotbed of dodgy Frrelanders, some other members on here, from Wiltshire, seem to have more than a fair share of problems.

Yeah they are quite right ! I have used two very very poor dealers ! full of waffle on the phone & nice tiled floors but when it comes to diagnosing & fixing I have had 3 years of just incompetence !!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I had a problem with new Sd4 last year (2nd day) gave dealer 1 chance , fired off e-mail to head of JLR
had a phone call 30 mins later this guy was on his way to halewood at the time and then dealer ringing me back 20 mins later, wanting to know what my problem was !!!..got it sorted straight away ... funny that ..
