2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Santorini Black
Aaargh! Failed to start!!

Getting really annoyed now.

On Saturday night the car failed to start at home. Engine did not turn over. Just seemed dead. Was in a rush, it was quite late so just hopped in the other car. Was going to call Landrover assist on Sunday but it started fine. Then again yesterday it started fine.

This morning - just before setting off on a 3 hour journey - same thing. Won't turn over. Just clicks and whirs but doesn't turn over. Really annoyed now. I have loads of meetings scheduled and am not going to make them. Phone LR assist and they are sending out the AA because no LR assist vehicles available until after 10:30.

It may be a coincidence - but this has only happened since I got the car back from getting the clutch replaced. You know how much I love that dealer already................

Well seems unlikely it was a coincidence.

AA came. Told them I had just had the clutch changed and he went straight for the earth strap on the bell housing. It was loose.

Tightened it and car fired up first time.

Great service from AA.

Fingers crossed the issue is solved permanently. (Coming) 2016 RR Evoque td4 180 HSE Dynamc

Agreed. Something must (and will) be done about this dealer.

Just for x reference purposes - original thread on clutch here http://www.freel2.com/forum/post170619.html#170619 (Coming) 2016 RR Evoque td4 180 HSE Dynamc

Get onto LR Customer Service too and bend their ears and cc them in all comms etc.
Ask for some ££ refund on clutch work.
