They say a picture paints a thousand words, but forget to mention that sometimes those words are a random jumble which makes no sense! Smile

I dare say the diagrams make perfect sense when you've got the parts in front of you, and I assume pic 59 shows the position of the tape (there's a lot of it to get off!). But what's the 3M-VHB in pic 58? Some kind of cleaner? And as for picture 60...!

(Purely academic interest, you understand. I neither have nor want the kit in question!)

3M VHB is the tape, the other component is something called an adhesion promoter, basically I think this makes it stick like sh Censored
I would go with the dental floss approach, simply pulling the trim off runs the risk of it suddenly bending and creasing.

Hair dryer, get it nice and warm and gently gently with the floss Thumbs Up

Hmm. Maybe I should leave it alone. Didn't realise it was taped/glued on. Was just hoping to take the screws out. Bit of a jiggle and bingo. Why is nothing straight forward?

Bit of avice from some1 that has had to do this on so many cars over the years when fitting new bumpers but having to use the trims and kits from the original bumpers.

As much as you may want to dont do it unless you have no choice.
You will spend hours removing all the double sided tape from the bumper,It wont just pull off as you would hope then if you relise it looks odd without it you will have to do the same again to remove other half of the tape from the trim.

When you have finaly removed it all ready to refit you will never make it fit like it once did,You will find it will be out of shape from pulling it off in the first place(If its colour coded you also have a high risk of cracking the paint).
The only way we could make um fit and stick as they should is run them thru the spay booth at 120/130 degrees once they were back on the bumper. This not only reshapes the trims to the bumper but heats up the tape to make it stick as it should do.
