Bling finally added.....

Inspired somewhat by Mav71's FL2 in his Autobiography thread, I thought it was about time I added all my Chrome/Stainless Steel bits...namely door sill plates and rear latch plate. I am particularly pleased with the front door sill strips, as I think that they finish the car off quite nicely. (Please ignore the dirty rubber mat - you just can't get the Kosovan's these days!) Very nice. Unusual door sill strips, they normally angle over the metal part.

Thanks folks, yes, Minolta mad, all genuine LR bits courtesy of Dan at Duckworth's.....rear latch finisher from Matford Land Rover in Exeter.

Job only took an hour all round, the biggest ball-ache was peeling the backing tape off the adhesive strips...a right trauma if you've got big old sausage fingers like I have. Laughing

Taz, interior light upgrade is planned for March Thumbs Up Foraging near Gaydon....

They are the rear passenger sill plates, they fit on the corners by the base of the seat leading into the rear footwell. Hope that helps.

bling bits

Looks good
Approx how much are the door sill plates from Dan?
On the subject of Bling can somebody tell me the difference between earlier car door handles and 2011facelift door handles, I want to make sure that I buy the correct handles. My car is 2010 and there seems to be a suggestion that some 2011 bits (includes door mirrors) were fitted to 2010 cars (ie there wasnt a clean changeover point). 2010GS Auto ex Celeb, Santorini Black, 2011 facelift , spoiler, spats, mudflaps, LED footwell lamps, Witter detach,
Other cars:-
1958 & 1959 Austin J40 Pedal Cars under restoration (I make many J40 parts)
If you have an Austin J40 or Pathfinder Pedal Car looking for a new home pls PM me.
