United Kingdom 2013 LR2 TD4 Dynamic Manual Santorini Black
Not very alarming!

Opened a door today and the alarm sounded. What a feeble thing
it is! Couldn't stop laughing! Rolling with laughter It would make a Mini blush!! Not an
alarm I would expect a big butch car to have. Has anyone ever
changed theirs to something that would attract attention?

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Zermatt Silver

I wonder if it matters, we had a siren on the Defender that would wake the dead plus the horns were wired as well, the blokes who stole it knew how to defeat it. Also a few years ago Motor Cycle news parked and chained a couple of superbikes up outside a police station in central London then returned a couple of hours later to " steal" them With the alarms banging away they cut the chains and lifted them into a van and drove away, if someone wants it bad enough unfortunately it is going. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Not really interested, mine was audible from my bedroom one night after a big clap of thunder so proved to be adequate.
What interests me more is how difficult it would be to start the car and drive away without the 'fob' being present, joe public ignore car alarms with no more than a disinterested glance as they are to frequent and meaningless with false alarms.

No one seems to take notice of a car alarm going any way, if one is going off people hardly bother to look out of the window to investigate. At least yours is working, we have had a spate on here recently where the alarm was not working, the fix has been found, just made us wonder how many of us are out there that don't have a functioning alarm.
