Evening all

Thinking of nipping over to GS in Cov for a shuftie at used FLR2s - does anyone have any experience of dealing with them...? Interested to hear your views, good, bad or indifferent...!

Interestingly, those of you who have had dealings with Donna Wood from LR Customer Services Coventry may or may not know that they recommend this very garage. (It's next door to their Technical Centre)

I was considering them for my 1st Service later this year.... I think given the attitude displayed in the above thread may force me to reconsider. Foraging near Gaydon....

Colin T2, you had better luck than me, we visited them in March 2012 looking to buy a new Freelander and to say the least we were treated as though we had walked through something unpleasant on way into show room. After waiting an hour to see a salesman the best they could offer was a factory order with 16weeks delivery, not prepared to find a car in the system any quicker. Visted Sturgess in Leicester and despite them promising to come back with a delivery estimate they never did. Finished up at Marshalls' in Melton Mowbray, they were keen to deal and managed to supply a car in 4 weeks to spec I wanted ( factory fresh build including Easter shut down), have been well satisfied so far with Marshalls' on a couple of issue with vehicle.
Based on my experience I wont be stepping foot in Guy Salmon again.

My father in law bought his Range Rover Sport form them just over 12 months ago.

NOT impressed. Took a year to get the service book back. The jobs they said they would do on the car, didn't get done.

Very helpfull when selling the car, but crap after that. I woulld not go go back. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

I've been trawling the 'net these past few days looking at what's out there and still can't decide what to go for, or even what budget to set - it keeps changing - up and down like a yoyo! I've emailed a few of the dealers asking for info on specific vehicles but am still awaiting their replies. At least it's saved me some petrol.... guess I'll just have to get out there soon and see what's what.
