The Battery fitted on my 09 FL2 is 80A..I have a spare of my Defender which is 110A would it be ok to use on the FL2 ? lucan400 |

The battery tray is a very specific size on the Freelander 2 the biggest reasonably priced " Brand name"battery i could get to fit was recommended by JST on here it was an Exide 85amp/800 cca , the standard battery was 80/700. so I suppose it depends if your Defender battery fits in the box. on my 90 there was loads of space under the passenger seat to get truck size batteries in, but alas when you see the Freelanders plastic box ( under the bonnet near side wing) you will see the limitations.
