The best bucket wash I ever gave my motorbike was with 25 litres of de-ionised water (benefit of working on chemical sites Thumbs Up ).Absolutely spot and streak free I've often thought that the ultimate professional clean would be total washing and rinsing with de-ionised or de-mineralised water. if you ever see an analysis of your tap water you would be amazed at what traces are in it.

CCS Net - Meguiars do a range of engine cleaning and detailing products, again I've used those on the bike with great results, 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Yep, a water filter does have its benefits especially in summer, final rinse and just leave it to dry spot free

Must get myself one Thumbs Up

Re engine cleaning I use a solution of megs APC and a brush, then a liberal spray of aerospace 303 protectorant and leave to dry for a few hours Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

IPA is isopropyl alcohol or propan-2-ol. It is an excellent degreaser and is particularly good at removing truck grease from wiper blades if you use roads that carry heavy HGV traffic. Usual precautions as it is volatile and flammable. Just soak a little into a clean rag and wipe hard. Alternatively, Rain-X foam is a great window cleaner that stops wiper blades smearing.

In a panel wipe you want to dilute it with water at about 30% Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
