Scotland 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Mauritius Blue
New Car Paint Protection

Taking delivery in March and I was considering a polymer paint sealant but there is too much product out there. Is there anyone who can recommend a sealer that is relatively easy to apply and would give a deep gloss finish on Mauritius Blue.

I don`t mind paying up to £50 for the product MY13- TD4 XS Mauritius Blue, Privacy glass, Cold climate pack, Tailgate spoiler, Armrest pack, LED signature, Body side mouldings, Full size spare and finally Mudflaps

Wolfs body wrap was the first I used gave it a right good polish and wiped down with IPA, small square cut out of a mF cloth and went to work and in the end it looked great, got a second coat on the following day

Then I started to notice small dot of grey in cracks, like were the C pillar meets the roof line, and a couple of sections on the roof, there are caused by leaving the BW on and missing it in the wiping of stage, would not be noticed on any other colour than white, they were small but I knew they were there

But recommend it as it was great, And if I was to go down that route again I would and may do so too as I still have half a botle left Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

What is the main difference between these two products and do they require much prep on a new car. I know some sealants look better on different colours so what would bring out the Mauritius Blue? MY13- TD4 XS Mauritius Blue, Privacy glass, Cold climate pack, Tailgate spoiler, Armrest pack, LED signature, Body side mouldings, Full size spare and finally Mudflaps

The pre work will be to make sure all the transport waxes and anything the dealer has put on is removed, as these need to be put on fresh paintwork not on top of polishing oils or wax

The main difference is hard body offers a harder protection against scratches and scuffs

They bother are clear and will make a Metalic cars flake pop out from what I have seen on detailingworld

There might be a review or two and lots photos of different cars there too so you can compare Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

What would be an appropriate cleaner to remove delivery wax from the car prior to applying the sealant? MY13- TD4 XS Mauritius Blue, Privacy glass, Cold climate pack, Tailgate spoiler, Armrest pack, LED signature, Body side mouldings, Full size spare and finally Mudflaps

bearing in mind im a little OTT

When i did the wifes Vauxhall Corsa, which was brand new I did the following

1.Snow foamed
2.Washed with non wax shampoo with some Meguires all purpose cleaner added
3.Rinsed
4.Clayed the car with soft mild bar
5.Rinsed and dried
6.wiped over with a IPA solution to remove and oils
7.I assessed the paint and it didn't look like it needed polishing (but would have polished at this stage, but my aim was to get protection on it for the forthcoming winter)
8.then sealed with Wolf Body Wrap, panel or 2 by panel, buffing off as i went
9.sealed again with a second coat

I would say you could get away with 2,5,6,7,8 and 9 Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I would read up on hard body too, by all accounts just as easy to use after the preparations been done

Wolf chemical shine and seal is supposed to be a great polish to use when prepping if you need to polish Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
