3 years of ownership and no chips, then 2 or 3 months ago I get a crack, get screen replaced and everything hunky dory for a month then another stone chip,

Then today another Stone hits my screen and left with a chip

Bloody fuming And to make it worse it was another freelander that threw the stone up at me Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Sorry to hear that , did the other Freelander have magnetic sign,s on it for Aut* Gl*ss !!

I have noticed that i tend to follow cars esp. rear wheel drive and 4x4 ones a lot less closely nowadays. yeah I seem to have more chips this year than a lifetime!

I may have to have a new windscreen as my last chip hit the black area (near the windscreen wipers). Apparently this bit can't be fixed?! Anyone else had this problem?

Always more chance of chips happening at this time of year due to the councils spreading their rust inducing ingredients all over the roads Im afraid.
