A van smacked my driver's door mirror on a rural road today. The external casing is smashed but still attached, the mirror glass is in fragments but the bits are stuck to an adhesive backing and the plastic fitting onto which the mirror fits is broken.

The mechanism still works and the assembly still folds in and out when locked and unlocked.

Anyone familiar with the mirror assembly know what parts (obviously mirror glass, external casing and mirror mounting!) I need and their cost?

If I get the parts, is it fairly easy to remove the broken casing and fit the new bits? 2013 RR Evoque Pure Tech

You will be horrified at the price of the external top half of the casing, particularly if it's colour coded. I have had the same problem, and cannot find a genuine part that is painted black for less than £105.

Dan at Duckworths can supply them primed for significantly less, however unless you know a decent Bodyshop prepared to do you a favour, the final price is not a million miles away from the three figure number that LR want.
