Global Warming Environmental Lunatics

So eventually the Met Office concede that global warming...isn't.

And 2 weeks later find something else to ram down our necks and guilt trip us with!

I know they're newspaper articles, and in fairness I haven't read either of them in their entirety but it is quite ironic! Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

Let's see if I've got this right...

Global warming isn't happening, but is caused by 'black carbon'.
... or ...
Global warming is caused by black carbon but isn't happening.

I see...

Which seems to imply that were it not for all that black carbon we'd be suffering global cooling. And therefore we all need to burn more fossil fuels to make sure that the aforementioned global cooling doesn't occur.

Have I got that right? Laughing

Presumably we can expect huge cuts in the taxation on fuel now. Not!

Haha if only we'd get a tax cut!!

They all seem to forget that we've had an ice age in the past, and came out of it. And there were no humans then Confused

Ah well, whenever I see a load of environmentals I'll make sure that I've been steady away so there's a bit of 'black carbon' in the exhaust to blow out as I go past Laughing Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

The trouble with global warming I think is technology. Nasa came along with satalites over the last 30 years and says this is getting smaller and thats melting - WE ARE DOOMED!!

Problem is 30 years isnt long enough to measure temperature etc! Also, modern technology is far better than/more accurate than thermometers used at the turn of the century. I read recently that in 1958 an American submarine surfaced at the north pole. No ice was found. The sub surfaced another 8 times and still no ice!! So the ice had melt but has since come back. In the 1930's fishermen from Australia said that the ice around the antartic was melting at a fast rate. Its still there.

Iam a sceptic, I hate that global warming people get all the media attention. Its a shame that the scientists that dont believe in global warming dont get the same amount of media coverage. To me its too much of an easy money earner for environmental tax etc! Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

It's only the Mail, so I wouldn't take what they're "reporting" too seriously.
