Interior Trim Upgrade to Leather

I have a 2010 GS Auto with the standard black cloth trim and non electric seats Sad .
I would like to upgrade to the possibly the half leather of the XS Smile , has anbody done it? are there any mismatch problems from year to year which would stop me say putting 2008 or 2011 seats in my 2010 car?
I assume that installing electric seats of the HSE would be difficult or impossible because of wiring being missing in my car.
Your comments appreciated........... 2010GS Auto ex Celeb, Santorini Black, 2011 facelift , spoiler, spats, mudflaps, LED footwell lamps, Witter detach,
Other cars:-
1958 & 1959 Austin J40 Pedal Cars under restoration (I make many J40 parts)
If you have an Austin J40 or Pathfinder Pedal Car looking for a new home pls PM me.

England 2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Stornoway Grey

I had the misfortune to get an XS that never had the standard fitment heated seats put in due to a production software error that caused numberous XS models going out without them.
I was told seat heaters could be fitted at the dealers but would have to be controlled by a non standard switching arrangement on the side of the actual seat.
It was too big a job to fit the seat heaters and use the normal dash controls as not only was the dash switch cassette different, but the wiring harness and ECU programming.
I settled for a £600 refund and bought a mountain bike instead, 60 miles on that and my bums hot enough thank you.

.... and if my memory serves me correctly, I believe re-covering was around the £1000 mark.

I have seen work done by the seat surgeons and it is good, but I have to say, classic car services is better. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
