If anyone is interested in the Vulcan, make the most of it.
I heard a rumour that following the 2013 show season it’s going to be grounded. Too much work is required to be carried out on the airframe and concerns about the engines reliability (although it will be able to carry out fast taxis etc.)

Speaking of the vulcan why are people so in awe of it?

When it came out it was revoluntionary ( designed in 1948 I believe). It could do things no previous bomber could ; its take off was extraordinarily fast for a bomber ...

Remember this is a bomber with a crew of five, not a single seat fighter. Smile

It has a unique engine howl.

If you get a chance to see the Vulcan fly in the near future, take it because the charity that flies and maintains her won't keep her flying much longer. See http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-19952395

Went to an airshow years ago when the Vulcan was still in service, and it was awesome. It started climbing, not quite vertically, but it looked like it was going to stall and come down backwards at any minute. But it had that much power, it just kept going.
Sad if it doesn't fly again
