oil leak

had my car service last week and they found a oil leak, (its never even left a mark that i have seen) so in to get the oil leak fixed this week and they replace the oil pan housing also the oil pan, its all been covered with warranty so not a problem

seams a costly repair as it could only have been a gasket unless the oil pan housing being made of aluminium has warped

i am not complaining infact i think LandRover should get praised for going that bit extra and replacing both parts Thumbs Up 1995 P38 now dead

If its a slight leak you probably wouldn't notice as the belly pan cover would catch it.

Back in the 1990s we had an old Shogun automatic that lost its gearbox fluid through a leak that never showed on the floor where it was parked. It only leaked under pressure, particularly when towing Big Cry Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto
