Nah the expensive wax's aren't worth the money.

With time and patience you can do basic details yourself (what the detailer has done in that thread is pretty specialised so not taking away from him!)

I did our FL last week, and someone in town was asking my mum about her 'new' car. It's 4 years old. Laughing

I did the girlfriends 14 year old clio in the summer too...

Would definitely pay for a professional detail on a very tired looking car though

Sure I could do achieve that finish without the messing around in about 2-3 hours, good old elbow Greece and no machines!

Autoglym hd wax gives a good finish and good beeding, a lot cheaper too. And it looks the same

Thats some impressive results and a vast difference from when it first went in.
I spent two days cleaning my FL last weekend, took me 5 hours just to do the wheels.

Considering i hate cleaning that was good for me. I also did the wifes focus as well, though only spent a dy doing it Very Happy

Mines got to go in for a machine polish, looks like someone thought it was a good idea to go from front wing to rear quarter with something sharp and scuffy!!

The joys of a black car.....got most of it out with colour magic and super resin from autoglym, but just too deep in places.

Paintwork for a new car under bright sunlight isn't the best, but.....elbow grease and a selection of products and I should get it there!

Any of you old enough to remember 'one step'? I've got a tin, and tried it on
parts of the FL t'other week. Quite impressed, good polish, no smears. Must be
at least 25 years old, and still works Thumbs Up (Unlike me) As you can see ,I
dont go in for labour intensive polishing very often, just wondered if it was still any
good!
