The DVD130 and earlier function without that offline 48 hours limit.
As for the modifying CCF, one that has a little experience with modifying computer files can with ease jump over the limitations...

DVD 130 is not the current version though ? if you have a car newer than whats supported on 130 you will need to use the current 132 version to edit the ccf. As an example all MY13 cars wasnt added until version 132.

Ther AS-BUILT file has an encription to it of which I know only one company who has cracked it.

Not really...
You can still use the new, up to date, vbf files that contain software updates with older versions of the DVD.
As for the encryption... one, often, underestimate the enthusiasm of a passionate group of people... Laughing
I, for one, have my original CCF file in plain, unencrypted, binary format and in the old xml format.
I know that progressively the ones that develop the SDD have encrypted the xml files (and not only them) in exml format, but, really, they've should invest a little more in encryption design and format... Very Happy

I know about the vbf files working on a older version I have SDD129 for Puma set up on a CF19 as 130 and newer does have bugs on the puma Defender as well as using the latest files from my CF-D1 on SDD132 and the tabman.exe from it that has seed key protection of which is very weakly protected from landrover Thumbs Up

I was refering to the latest version SDD software really with my original comments as some new cars and program fixes are not supported correctly on the older versions due to the main program exe's in some cases and its not worth the risk of using for the novice user. as you say the exml files are now new to the system and can be cracked and have been already but really should we be advising an old and out of date software install as in sdd 130 on peoples very valuable cars of which some are not supported correctly ?

I appreciate that a nice group of enthusiastic poeple could with ease putting head together brake the exml files, but who will test it first ? Im not against a bit of reverse engineering and welcome it really but for sure its not for the faint hearted to do the testing on their own cars.

The best and safest option it to use the latest version and pay as you go.

Indeed, the best and safest option it to use the latest version and pay as you go. Thumbs Up

PS: I and my car were the guinea pig for testing purposes... Laughing And, indeed, I skipped some beats when, at one moment, because of a glitch on the HS CAN, a lot of errors popped up on the car's display, but in the end all was OK. Very Happy

Sorry....
Which limitations do you refer?
What car do you want to config?
In a nutshell, what exactly do you need to do?

Anyone know of any reasonably priced diagnostic equipment which can be used to reset the Main Service and Oil Service indicators on a MY13 and later models? Gone:
2002 FL1 TD4 GS Zambezi Silver
2007 FL2 TD4 GS Izmir Blue
