Tried recently as my daughters friend needs bone marrow, there is a narrow window of 16-30 year olds and then only the fittest ones, any minor medical issues and you get rejected.

Worth a try, the website says 49 but I was rejected as I have psoriatic arthritis and my eldest lad was rejected through age, he's only 31. Not sure what's going on. Fortunately, my daughters friend has found a donor match and the operation will go ahead next month.

How long have you been on the register? Have you donated any at all? The Anthony Nolan people wont accept me as i'm too old (i'm 36) but I believe that as i'm a blood donor I can register with the blood donors to do it.
