Very Happy Finally things are sorted. Business as usual at halewood building you your fl2's. No changes in the pipeline land rover safe in indian hands. Good to be free of fords penny pinching. We want to build quality not what an accountant in detroit thinks should be made. Bright future ahead people. Who wants an lrx?

I'm personally glad its sorted, I hope they can do what we all want and progress further with all cars now not just here but in Indian aswell, with the technology they now own they can progress there too, which make TATA a even bigger company.

have you got a little inside knowledge on the date i'll be able to pick up my new LRX? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I agree entirely. This is great news for LR. At last they will have owners who know how to run a business. Tata will let the local management get on with running the company and have committed to a 5 year plan. How many businesses get that opportunity these days? Land Rover's destiny is now in their own hands and I can't wait to see how it goes with products like the LRX on the horizon.

I also would not be concerned about the loss of American ownership. In my experience, Ford has demonstrated a typical American reaction for dealing with problems in their own back yard - ditch the foreign elements parts of their business (ie British) and use the proceeds to prop up an ailing organisation.

Good luck Land Rover, here's to a great future.

It's good news if LR employees are happy with the deal. I just hope it doesn't go the same road when rover met BMW and we found out afterwards that all they wanted were the engines and mini. Thankfully, with the great vehicles LR are building today, the future could be very rosy indeed. Just need to clear out some of the bad dealerships now and a government determined to kill the vehicle industry.
Does this mean that the customer call centre will now be in India too. Never mind, Windsor Davis (who?) will keep them on their toes.
Lr2maker, please pass my thanks to your colleagues for the assembly of my vehicle. well done, lads!!! Thumbs Up Out with the old (2007 SE)
In with the new (2012 Dynamic with everything). Now also gone.
