Land Rover Reliabilty

Well after 6 months and 15,000 km the Freelander 2 did not turn out as to what Land Rover claimed it to be, or I expected it to be.

Already more than eight returns to to workshop; aircon pump falure at 8500 km; repeated failures of software, so impossible to start, long delays in central electronics switch on; brake failures; outside review mirrors pivot shaft failure.

Now I heard that there are bugs in the factory issued software.

Sound to much like a Freelander 1; so maybe a leopard can not change it spots, and do not believe all the adds and sales people.

bad

That's clearly a very bad experience of LR, and nowhere near the performance and relaibility LR claim or indeed most of us have experienced with the FL2! Shocked

Sadly, you seem to have taken delivery of a "lemon" of a vehicle, which I fear most vehicle manufacturers are still capable of producing on the odd miserable Friday afternoon. That's no excuse of course; you must be nearing the point of asking LR to consider a buy-back, so you can enjoy the FL2 as we all do! Razz
Life is not a dress rehearsal!

Well after 2 week of free board and lodging in the LR workshop I got it back, "fixed to LR standards"

It ran for 157.3 km and failed again; no start and traction failure.

Has been with LR for another 3week, I am hearing rumors of a faulty battery, ?dipping voltage below 10,0 volt when trying to start.

Reading through the postings I see others have also had problems with starting, faulty batteries, and wind noise.

Awaiting still to have the wonderfull driving experience.
