Short Freelander 2 owner. Help!

Well I say short, I'm 5--9.

How the hell do I clean the roof?

I have lived in lower houses than this thing. For such a small SUV, its heitht is something else.

My car cleaning obsessive friend (Audi Quattro and P38 RR) telos me he just ignores the roof.

Apart from a set of ladders, what do people do?

Land Rover provide a black round thing on each corner. They also have a set of roof rails as an extra to hold onto whilst cleaning the roof.

I started off standing on the sills and reaching, until my feet started to hurt (I must be getting old Rolling Eyes ).

I now use an extending handle car brush for the roof and larger areas, with a sponge to gut into the awkward bits. My neighbour lent me his extending brush to start with, then I bought one for myself; it works absolute wonders!! Thumbs Up

Here's an example of one:

I bought something similar from a local car accessories shop in Bodmin for around 」20. 12 Months later, it's still going strong and the head is hardly worn.

A caravan step or long poll will probably be the answer.

Polising s going to be a bit of a Censored though.

With my other truck...it is lower and I can do most of the roof. Its Ok until you look down from the house and see it has a dirt mohican.

If only the aft sunroof opened...or I was taller.

Discoveries of old used to have a ladder on the back. Now that was a good idea.

Don't listen to the chicken farmer, he still has last years mud caked on his tractor lights, the rest is on the road which in turn gets transferred to our cars. Rolling Eyes
