Heard mention of a drain on the diesel filter for a build up of water in the system???can someone please explain why and show where the drain is please,and how often do you do it?

Take the engine cover off to access the fuel filter. This involves taking the air intake pipe off (goes across the cover).

The fuel filter is easy to spot as it has the 4 diesel lines going into and out off it. You will see a small hex hole in a "tap" on top of the filter. Undo this and fuel comes out of the bottom of the filter. Some have a tube attached but mine doesn't. Collect the drained fuel (you only need to drain a little) and look to see if there is any water in it. If not all is well. If there is water, drain a bit more to ensure you have got all the water out.

I check mime every six months but I think the manual says 12 ? John
